CONNEAUT - James R. Chadwick, 60, of West Main Road, died Saturday, June 29, 2002, at his home following a brief illness.
Mr. Chadwick was born Aug. 17, 1941, in Canonsburg, Pa., a son of Thelma (Phillips) Smith Chadwick and the William R. Chadwick.
A Conneaut resident since 1985, he was employed as an industrial painter by Fort Pitt Bridgework. He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 472 and a former member of the Lions Club.
Mr. Chadwick enjoyed football, baseball and working on his truck.
Survivors include his mother of Conneaut; two daughters, Kim Higgins of Canonsburg, Pa., and Tammy Chadwick of Houston, Pa.; two sons, Jay and David, both of Canonsburg, Pa.; two sisters, Wilma Gasmire of Houston, Pa., and Bonnie Weppler of Conneaut; brother William R. Chadwick Jr. of Canonsburg, Pa.; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and his former wife, Sarah Chadwick of Canonsburg, Pa.
He was preceded in death by his father and a sister, Judith M. Smith.
Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Marcy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 208 Liberty St., Conneaut, with the Rev. Clyde A. McGee of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church officiating.
Burial will be in Greenlawn Memory Gardens, North Kingsville.
Calling hours are 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Conneaut Rescue Squad. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
