Clarence I. Seline

CONNEAUT - Clarence I. Seline, 86, of Lake Road, Conneaut, died Sunday, Sept. 29, 2002, at his home.
He was born Feb. 10, 1916, in Clifford, Wis., the son of William I. and Hulda S. (Ekman) Seline. He lived in Conneaut for 25 years and Willoughby Hills for 40 years.
After retirement, he relocated to Inverness, Fla., and recently had moved back to Conneaut.
A 1934 graduate of Conneaut High School, he was a painting contractor in the Cleveland area, and owned and operated the Seline Painting Company for 35 years.
He was a life member of the BPOE 256; a life member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Willoughby and a member of the FOE in Inverness; a member of the Loyal Order of Moose 472 in Conneaut; a life member and past master of Pierpont Relief Lodge, Free and Accepted Masons 284; and was a 32nd degree Mason. He was also a life member of the Painters and Allied Trade Union.
He and his wife, Marjorie, enjoyed visiting casinos during their later years.
Survivors include a brother, Eugene W. Seline of Conneaut; and a friend and care giver, Margaret Lowery of Conneaut.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Marjorie; a daughter, Judith Pelow; and a sister, Irene Sorenson.
At the deceased's request, there will be no service.
Calling hours are 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday at the Thompson-Smith Funeral Home, 345 Main St., Conneaut.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Conneaut Fire Station 3 Rescue Squad. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
